Face of The Cafferty File

Posted by Blogger Faces  Published in Authors, Blogger Faces, News Personalities

A news personality, an author and a blogger face all in one!

feb272008jackcafferty.jpgCNN’s The Situation Room has an hourly feature called The Cafferty File. It’s hosted by none other than Jack Cafferty.

Jack Cafferty is a straight talking CNN commentator who always tell it like it is. He doesn’t pull any punches and will say whatever comes to his mind. That’s what I like about him and that’s why I’m adding his “Face” to Blogger Faces.

One controversial remark from Jack was when a Osama Bin Laden tape came out just before the hearings on tapping Americans phones and Jack implying the timing of the release of the tape may not be a coincidence. Jack Said…

“The last time we got a tape from Osama bin Laden was right before the 2004 presidential election. Now here we are four days away from hearings starting in Washington into the wire tapping of America’s telephones without bothering to get a court order or a warrant, and up pops another tape from Osama bin Laden. Coincidence? Who knows?”

Each hour for the Cafferty File, Jack reads a question and viewers can answer them on his blog. Jack returns later in the hour to read some of the answers submitted on his blog. The questions are always on a wide range of topics like today’s questions: How Would $4/Gallon Gas Affect You? or News Media Unfair to Clinton? or yesterday’s question McCain’s success tied to Iraq war?

It’s a popular segment on CNN and with good reason. Jack will also sit in with a panel and Wolf Blitzer to discuss daily events in typical Jack Cafferty way.

On a personal note Jack Cafferty was born on December 14, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Before he joined the Situation Room in the summer of 2005, he was co-anchor of CNN’s American Morning.

On September 10th, 2007, John Wiley & Sons published Jack Cafferty’s book “It’s Getting Ugly Out There: The Frauds, Bunglers, Liars, and Losers Who Are Hurting America“. It is just as straight shooting as the Jack you get on his Cafferty File.

Face it, you get the File, the blog and the book.

The Face of Crooks and Liars

Posted by Blogger Faces  Published in Blogger Faces

It’s time for another Blogger Faces installment and it’s about blog that I frequent a lot.

John AmatoJohn Amato is a professional sax and flutist who has played with or recorded for The Goo Goo Dolls, Ringo Starr, Duran Duran, The Knack, Eddie Money, John Taylor, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagen of Velvet Revolver, Ronnie Montrose, Glen Hughes of Deep Purple and Elliot Easton of The Cars. Crooks and LiarsHe’s also the creator of CrooksAndLiars.com, one of the hottest blogs to hit the net. C&L has been featured in the NY Times, Forbes, USA Today, Washington Post and of course the Huffington Post.

I am a big fan of C&L and the various bloggers writing for John Amato’s virtual online magazine… um…I mean blog. It is a progressive/liberal type blog that focuses on a wide range of topics including, Crooks and Liars – Mostly of the political kind.

The writers there have a mix of serious political discussion with an occasional touch of comedic flavor. They do tend to target the republicans the most, but democrats are not out of their cross-hairs completely.

The have plenty of interesting posts spread out through the day, every day of the year, for the millions of visitors they have received. Make sure you become one of those visitors.

Amato and company don’t have the face of crooks or liars, but they’ll definately point out plenty for you.

Naomi Wolf – The Face of Defending Freedom

Posted by Blogger Faces  Published in Authors, Blogger Faces

Well, this blog IS called Blogger Faces, sooooooo I think it’s time to face up to that and post a blogger face. And not just any blogger I might add.

Naomi Wolf - Blogger FacesI am a fan of this blogger/author and not only is she beautiful as you can see from the picture, she has a beautiful mind. If you haven’t figured out who I’m talking about by the photo, it’s none other than Naomi Wolf.

Naomi Wolf is a blogger for HuffingtonPost.com and best selling author. (see some of Naomi’s book titles below) Her writings have also appeared in The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, The New Republic, Glamour, Ms., Esquire, and The New York Times. She also speaks across the country as she did in this video October 11, 2007 at Kane Hall on the University of Washington campus which is one of the most riveting speaking videos I have watched.

When I look at Naomi Wolf’s face, not only do I see a strong, intelligent, beautiful woman, who is a defender of woman’s rights, I see a defender of freedom for all and defender of the constitution.

Here are Naomi Wolf’s books including one of my favorites that will open your eyes to what is going on in America – The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, or her first book which was an international bestseller – The Beauty Myth: How Images of Beauty Are Used Against Women in which she criticized the fashion and beauty industries as exploitative of women, and some of Naomi’s other book titles – Misconceptions: Truth, Lies, and the Unexpected on the Journey to Motherhood, Promiscuities: The Secret Struggle for Womanhood, The Treehouse: Eccentric Wisdom from My Father on How to Live, Love, and See, and Fire with Fire. So what are you waiting for? Get your blogger face in front of Naomi Wolf’s great books.

Blogger Faces

Posted by Blogger Faces  Published in Blogger Faces, Uncategorized

Welcome to BloggerFaces.com

Just MeFaces…Everyone has one. Each one unique in it’s own way. Through this blog I will attempt to touch your emotions with some images of, yep you guessed it, FACES.

I love looking at images of people’s faces that spark some type of emotion inside me. Be it happy, sad or angry. Why else do you think emoticons are faces? :-)

Pictures take a moment in time and capture it, to keep for yourself or to share with others.

You always hear those sayings, “I never forget a face.” or “I’m glad I can put a face to the voice (or words) now.” “A picture is worth a thousand words” is what comes to mind for me.

Sometimes a picture will just leave you speechless or take your breath away.

As time goes on I hope to touch every kind of emotion in you as I can with the images I post here on BloggerFaces.com

I started with Jesus Christ, and though I in no way can compare myself to Our Saviour, I thought I’d post my face here.

I hope you’ll find my blog somewhat enjoyable and that you’ll return often. If you’re a blogger, and not shy, I’d also be interested in posting a picture of your face to become part of Blogger Faces.
